Cancellation by Customer
- More than 30 days before check-in: FREE of charge
- 15 to 29 days before check-in: 50% of total rate
- 7 to 14 days before check-in: 70% of total rate
- Less than 7 days before check-in or no-show: 100% of total rate
Cancellation due to bad weather
If the cancellation be announced by the Management Board of Halong Bay, depend on the timing of the cancellation, following policies will be applied:
- Before departure from Hanoi to Halong Bay (none of the services has been used): 100% refund.
- During the trip (some services have been used: transfer, lunch, day trip, hotel in Halong, etc.): used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.
- The trip be cut down from 2 nights to 1 night, tourists will be charged a 2 days/1 night trip, plus other used services, the rest will be refunded.
- The final cost will be confirmed by your consultant via email. In all cases, please contact us directly for any urgent help. We are here to support you with all of our best!

Morning
8:00 – 8:30: For customers who use transfer service (not included in the cruise’s price, book in the next step), you’ll be picked up and travel to Halong.
11:30 – 12:00: Arrive at Tuan Chau Harbor, then transfer to Sena Cruise by tender. Embark and enjoy a welcome drink while listening to the cruise briefing and safety introduction. After that, check in your cabin.
Enjoy a fabulous buffet lunch while cruising to the pretty Lan Ha Bay, which is more peaceful than Halong Bay. Pass by the famous Finger Islet, Candle Islet, and thousands of unique limestone islands.
Afternoon
Travel to the Dark & Bright Cave – famous for its natural beauty and poetic, attractive seascape, which is perfect for taking photos. Let’s enjoy a bamboo boat trip – an exciting activity to discover the authentic beauty of the limestone mountains of Lan Ha Bay.
Return to the ship, enjoy a sunset party, or swim around the boat. It’s an ideal time for photography enthusiasts to capture the stunning sunset of the bay.
You can also join a cooking class to make delicious Vietnamese spring rolls. Before dinner, the captain will choose the most tranquil area to anchor overnight.
Evening
Have an incredible dinner at the restaurant. Afterward, guests can participate in nightlife activities: squid fishing, watching movies, drinking cocktails, and spa treatment (please book in advance).

For early risers, start a new day with a Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Then, have a light breakfast, tea, and coffee in the fresh air and peaceful surroundings.
Exploring the Tra Bau area, the filming location of the famous movie Kong: Skull Island, and relaxing in the natural atmosphere of the bay.
9:30: After an active morning, return to the cruise for checkout. A set menu lunch will be served at the restaurant later while the boat slowly navigates toward the Harbor.
NOTE: If you want to go to Cat Ba Island, contact the cruise, and we will transfer you by Sena Cruise small transfer boat to Gia Luan Port.
11:30 – 12:00: Disembark the boat, say goodbye to the crew, and transfer to the port by tender.
Afternoon
Get on a shuttle bus that transfers you from Halong Bay to Hanoi (not included, book in next step). Arrive in Hanoi around 15:00.

Morning
8:00 – 8:30: Our bus will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quater (book with an extra fee in the next step).
11:30 – 12:30: Arrive at Tuan Chau Harbor, get on a tender, and transfer to Sena Cruise. While enjoying a welcome drink, the cruise manager will deliver a cruise briefing and safety introduction, and then check into your cabin.
Buffet lunch is served in the restaurant while the boat sails into magnificent Lan Ha Bay – an extension of Halong, which is much quieter. Pass the famous Finger Islet, Candle Islet, and other majestic islands.
Afternoon
Visit Dark & Bright Cave, famous for its pristine beauty and poetic, attractive seascape. This is the best time to take some photos and have a bamboo boat trip to discover the authentic beauty of the limestone mountains here.
Return to the Sena cruise. Let’s swim in the emerald water to relax. You can join a Sunset party or participate in a Cooking class to challenge your skills in making Vietnamese spring rolls.
Evening
Savor a flavorful dinner on board with various seafood dishes.
Then it’s your leisure time to join nightlife activities: drink cocktails at the bar, try squid fishing, or get spa treatment (book in advance).

Morning
Be an early bird for a photo hunt and join a Tai-chi session on the sundeck to refresh your body and mind. Have a light breakfast at the restaurant later.
Get on a day boat and travel further into the bay. Discover the stunning scenery in Viet Hai Village by bike or tram along the trails through vast rice fields. You can stop to rest, visit the old house made from straw, mud, bamboo, etc., and learn about local people’s lives.
After an amusing excursion, you will have a warm lunch to refill your energy.
Afternoon
The boat will transfer to a pristine beach area of the bay. Here, you can dip into the emerald waters, swim to see corals, or reach some secluded beaches for a relaxing time on the sand.
Return to the main boat and enjoy the “Happy Hour Deal” in all bars on the cruise. After that, you can have time to rest.
Evening
Enjoy dinner at the restaurant, then be free. You may spend the rest of the night with drinks on the sundeck, relax in your room, or try catching squids.

Transfer to a Day boat on day 2 to continue the excursion.

Stop at the magnificent Tra Bau area. Now, you can kayak & swim to explore the famous filming location for the Kong Skull Island film.
Get back on the cruise and check out your cabin at 9:30. The restaurant will serve a set menu lunch while the boat cruises back to the harbor.
NOTE: If you want to go to Cat Ba island, contact the cruise, and we will transfer you by Sena Cruise small transfer boat to Gia Luan Port.
11:30 – 12:00: Disembark and farewell the friendly crew members.
Afternoon
Get on the shuttle bus that transfers you back to Hanoi from the pier (need an extra fee, book in next step).
15:00 – 16:00: Arrive at your hotel in Hanoi. Your trip ends here.

An amazing activity for travelers to approach this magnificent cave under a mountain in the afternoon of the 1st day for around 1.5 hours.

Only being offered on the morning of the 2nd day of the 3-day tour. Let’s discover the unspoiled beauty of this village, visit old houses made from mud, and see the stunning nature surrounding it on a bicycle or electric cart.
Kayak in Tra Bau Area
On the morning of the last day, guests can take in the wonderful landscape of Lan Ha Bay for 1 hour on a kayak in Tra Bau.

On this 4-star cruise, you may enjoy various kinds of massage, such as foot, head, body, shoulder, hot stone, etc. using traditional methods with herbals.

You can also read books, squid fishing, or play board games on board. The cruise also offers services such as karaoke, honeymoon/birthday decoration, afternoon tea party, and in-room breakfast.

If you have any special requests regarding meals like diet or vegetarian, you must inform the cruise team before onboarding.

Daily pick-up time for guests is 8:00 – 8:30 for those who stay at the Old Quarter. For guests far from there, the pickup point should be near the Opera House, 01 Trang Tien Str.
From Tuan Chau Marina
Passengers who travel by themselves from Hanoi must show up at Lounge 25, Tuan Chau Harbor before 11:30 for check-in procedures before transferring to the cruise.

After an inspection trip lasting 2 days, I highly recommend Sena Cruise for mid-range travelers who want an authentic trip in Lan Ha Bay. This cruise has a unique design with classic wooden interiors, plus handmade bamboo and rattan decorations.
Cabins & Facilities: 9.4/10
The facilities of the cruise are still in good condition, the decor was gorgeous with many handmade products. My Deluxe Balcony Cabin was pretty and well-equipped. However, there are some dated facilities.
Pros
- Traditional-styled design with wooden base furniture creates a delicate ambiance.
- Gorgeously designed Moonlight restaurant with rattan lights, perfect for pictures.
- The cruise has a library, 1 indoor & 1 outdoor restaurant, which is rare for a 4-star cruise.
- All rooms have a private balcony and a nice layout, making the cabins bright and airy.
Cons
- All cabins on board don’t have bathtubs, only standing showers.
Foods & Drinks: 9.3/10
The menu includes many Vietnamese and European foods. The quality is good but nothing was outstanding for me, except for the seafood. The drinks are also average.
Pros
- Especially great seafood and fresh local ingredients.
- Lunches and dinners so you don’t have to worry about the food running out like eating a buffet.
- Have a different vegetarian menu that can be changed as the customer requests.
Cons
- Only breakfast has a buffet so the options during lunch and dinner meals may be a bit limited for some guests.
Activity & Itinerary: 9.4/10
Overall, the activities in the Sena Cruises were quite amusing. I especially liked the boat trip to Dark & Bright Cave as the scenery was so breathtaking. Overall, the activities were pleasant and suitable for many travelers.
Pros
- Spectacular bamboo boat trip to the stunning Dark & Bright Cave
- Interesting kayaking time in Tra Bau as you can freely immerse yourself in the pristine nature.
- Various services on board so you don’t get bored: karaoke, squid fishing, spa, library, bar, etc.
Cons
- The 2d1n tour is short and doesn’t explore Lan Ha Bay much.
Services: 10/10
The service on the Sena Cruises is exceptional, with outstanding staff from the cruise manager to the regular crew. There is nothing to criticize about how this ship provides services to its passengers.
The tour guide is attentive and knowledgeable, and most employees are also highly informed about Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay.
