Morning

A limousine or shuttle bus (book in the next step with an additional fee) will pick you up at 8:00 – 8:30 at the meeting point 52 Le Dai Hanh Street, Hai Ba Trung District, or your hotels in the Old Quarter.

After a 2.5-hour transfer, you arrive at Tuan Chau Island and check in at Paradise Suites Hotel. Transfer to Paradise Elegance cruise by electric cart at 12:15 – 12:30.

Receive a short briefing about the cruise itinerary and safety regulations while sipping a welcome drink aboard the Paradise Elegance. After that, enjoy lunch at Le Marin Restaurant while the cruise passes by the beautiful islets of Halong Bay.

Afternoon

Let’s start the exploration of Titop Island and choose to hike the mountain to get an overview of Halong Bay or swim in the cool water. Don’t miss out on the hike, it’s sweating but worth your try.

Now, move to the next stop at Luon Cave – a famous water cave for exciting activities. You can choose to kayak on your own or take a boat rowed by the locals (additional fee).

At sunset, Paradise Elegance will anchor overnight, and it’s the perfect time to enjoy Happy Hour (Buy 1 Get 1 Free from 17:30 to 18:30) and a cooking class on the notable Vietnamese dish while being serenaded by a live music performance by a Philippine band.

Night

It’s time to savor a Western set dinner prepared by the talented chef at Le Marin Restaurant. After dinner, indulge in drinks at Piano Lounge, join the squid fishing at the back of the boat, or enjoy fantastic movies in the cabin.

Take in the amazing panoramic view from the viewpoint at the end of the way out. As the cruise passes by Thien Cung and Dau Go Cave and the Fighting Cock Islet, enjoy breakfast at Le Marin Restaurant.

After breakfast, settle your bills and return the room keys to the reception area from 9:30 to 10:15.

Receive a brief introduction to the cruise itinerary and safety regulations while enjoying a welcome drink on board. Enjoy a delicious lunch at Le Marin Restaurant as the ship passes by the stunning islets of Halong Bay.

Afternoon

It’s time to visit Titop Island, which stands as a picturesque haven where nature’s wonders unfold against a backdrop of breathtaking landscapes. You can choose to hike up the mountain for a breathtaking view of Halong Bay or relax on the beach.

Then we explore Luon Cave, an ideal spot for kayaking and rowing bamboo boats in Halong. You can choose one of two services (additional charge) and take a closer look at the natural beauty of limestone rocks and pristine waters.

Watch the sunset while the Paradise Elegance anchors overnight. Enjoy Happy Hour (Buy 1 get 1 free from 17:30 to 18:30), and learn how to cook a popular Vietnamese dish at the cooking class.

Call on Tien Ong Cave to admire the primitive landscape of stalagmites and stalactites. Also, there are many traces of ancient human habitation discovered to date back to 10,000 BC – 8,000 BC.

Afternoon

After lunch, you will visit Cua Van Fishing Village, the first floating cultural village model in Vietnam. Here, join a kayak (additional fee) for a closer touch to the pristine village.

On the way back to Paradise Elegance, you will have the chance to enjoy afternoon tea at Paradise Explorer.

While the cruise passes by Thien Cung and Dau Go Cave and the Fighting Cock Islet, breakfast will be served at Le Marin Restaurant.

9:30 – 10:15: Settle your bills and return room keys to the reception area, then sit back in the Piano Lounge or on the sundeck to soak up the rest of the cruise.

Finally, Paradise Elegance returns to Tuan Chau Marina between 10:15 and 10:30, and you will disembark and finish your journey here.

Afternoon

If you want to return to Hanoi, please go on a shuttle bus (book in the next step with an additional fee), the arrival time at Hanoi is about 15:00.

Paradise Elegance gave me one of the most worthwhile experiences on a Halong Bay 5-star cruise with outstanding amusement and cuisine. It is worth a try for anniversary couples and newlyweds to indulge in romantic settings of music performances, fine dining, and sunset hours.

Facilities & Amenities – 9.5/10

Overall, there are abundant amenities for wellness and entertainment onboard. If the Jacuzzi Pool and Le Piano Lounge are perfect for outgoing people, the library and La Parfum Spa give private space for introverts. However, my Deluxe Balcony Suite has a downside due to its narrow space (only 25m2).

Pros

• Large jacuzzi pool with a capacity of up to 10 adults
• 4 separate spa rooms offer the best privacy and relaxation
• Well-maintained and up-to-date facilities in aesthetic luxuriant design

Cons

• Small and cramped cabins, only 35m2 for the Captain’s View Terrace Suite
• Outdated bathrooms, not all cabins are equipped with bathtub

Food & Drinks – 9.8/10

A plus of Paradise Elegance is the culinary experience with a Michelin-starred menu. At a reasonable cost, I had a chance to enjoy the first-rate cuisine of Western-Asian fusion at a 5-course dinner and French-style canapés at a sunset party. Regarding the buffet menu and beverages, all are flavorsome and eye-catching.

Pros

• A wide range of Vietnamese and Western buffet option
• Delicious dishes and seafood, especially the main course “Pan-seared sea bass fillet” at dinner
• Diverse experience to serve BBQ dinner or private dining on sundeck (upon request)

Cons

• Expensive drinks, limited options for cocktails and mocktails

Following the classic Halong Bay itinerary, Paradise Elegance takes advantage to maximize the number of visit attractions. On my 2-day-1-night trip, I visited 3 sightseeing spots with different kinds of activities: hiking, kayaking, swimming, and caving. In a nutshell, this cruise program is great for active travelers and nature lovers.

Pros

• Well-planned itinerary with more attractions than other cruises
• Amazing live music and dance by a Filipino band for night activity
• Various types of activities at limestone cave, beach, water cave, and floating village
• Modern speedboat with a large capacity of 198 seats and vending machines

Cons

• Additional charge for kayaking and bamboo boating
• 3D2N cruises depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays only
