Travel will be on the 5B expressway connecting Hanoi to Hai Phong Port City. On the way, the group will stop at V52 rest stop in Gia Loc District, Hai Duong. Upon reaching Hai Phong, leave the expressway and travel along the longest sea-crossing road in Vietnam, from the Tan Vu intersection to Lach Huyen Port (Hai Phong’s International Port), enjoying views of Dinh Vu Port from the longest and most modern sea-crossing bridge in Vietnam.
10:15 – 10:30 | Arrival at Cat Ba Island: Arrive at “Cat Ba Island” and travel along the coastal road. Experience the most beautiful coastal route in Northern Vietnam, with the shimmering turquoise sea on one side and the lush, majestic scenery of Cat Ba National Park on the other.
11:00 | Boarding the Cruise: Complete the boarding process and enjoy a welcome drink. The cruise will set sail and begin its unique journey: Cat Ba – Lan Ha Bay.
First impressions include visiting the Cai Beo fishing village, with its simple and rustic floating houses on the emerald water. Here, the natural beauty blends with the daily activities of the fishermen, showcasing the cultural value of this 7,000-year-old fishing village, which is one of the most notable features of Lan Ha Bay. This is also the largest ancient fishing village in Northern Vietnam.
From Cai Beo fishing village, the cruise will continue through the Dong Door (like a village gate protecting the peaceful life of the fishermen), weaving through numerous large and small limestone islands with diverse and unique shapes. Guests will have the opportunity to view and photograph Turtle Island, a small island shaped like its name. From above, Turtle Island resembles a sacred creature moving across the emerald waters of Lan Ha Bay, with a serene and steadfast appearance.
As the cruise ventures deeper into the core area (the most beautiful part of the bay), the captain will choose the best spot to anchor. Guests will experience the longest slide in Lan Ha Bay, swim, and capture the best moments on the “5* Cruise – Touching the Heritage” journey.
12:00 | Lunch on Board: Return to the dining area on the first and second decks of the cruise to enjoy a lunch rich in Cat Ba seafood flavors amid the heritage site. (If there are 40 or more guests on board, lunch will be served as a buffet.)
After lunch, the boat will proceed to Viet Hai Port, where guests will disembark and take an electric vehicle to visit the ancient Viet Hai village. Along the way from the port to the village, the driver and guide will choose a traditional path used by locals to experience the pristine beauty of Cat Ba National Park: ancient banyan forests, and the locally built survival tunnel. Guests will learn how this road was constructed and its history.
Experiences include fish massage, walking tour of traditional houses, and interacting with local people, providing unique impressions during this trip.
14:00 – 15:15 | Kayaking – Swimming: Due to the tidal influences in the bay, the captain and guide will select the best spot for guests to enjoy:
Swimming directly in the sea with safety-standard jumping platforms.
Sliding on the longest slide in Lan Ha Bay.
Swimming in the giant inflatable Serenity Pool provided by Serenity Cruises.
For guests not interested in these activities, free services include SUP boarding and kayaking. (We strongly recommend using life jackets when swimming outside the inflatable pool for a safe experience.)
15:30 | Return Journey: The cruise begins the journey back to Beo Port. This time is also an opportunity for the crew and guide to thank guests and listen to feedback to continuously improve our service, aiming to provide a premium tourism product for the day trip in Cat Ba.
16:30 | Arrival Back in Hanoi: The Serenity cruise returns to Beo Port, and the vehicle will take guests back to Hanoi.
20:30 | Arrival in Hanoi: The tour ends, concluding the wonderful experience of the Lan Ha Bay – Cat Ba Island 1 Day Tour [Serenity Explorer Cruise]. Farewell and see you again!

- More than 30 days before check-in: FREE of charge
- From 11 to 30 days before check-in: 30% of total rates
- From 7 to 10 days before check-in: 50% of total rates
- Less 7 days before check-in or no-show: 100% of total rates
Cancellation due to bad weather
If the cancellation be announced by the Management Board of Halong Bay, depend on the timing of the cancellation, following policies will be applied:
- Before departure from Hanoi to Halong Bay (none of the services has been used): 100% refund.
- During the trip (some services have been used: transfer, lunch, day trip, hotel in Halong, etc.): used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.
- The trip be cut down from 2 nights to 1 night, tourists will be charged a 2 days/1 night trip, plus other used services, the rest will be refunded.
- The final cost will be confirmed by your consultant via email. In all cases, please contact us directly for any urgent help. We are here to support you with all of our best!
