Cancellation by Customer

• More than 30 days before check-in: FREE of charge
• 15 to 29 days before check-in: 50% of total rate
• 7 to 14 days before check-in: 70% of total rate
• Less than 7 days before check-in or no-show: 100% of total rate

Cancellation due to bad weather

If the cancellation be announced by the Management Board of Halong Bay, depend on the timing of the cancellation, following policies will be applied:

• Before departure from Hanoi to Halong Bay (none of the services has been used): 100% refund.
• During the trip (some services have been used: transfer, lunch, day trip, hotel in Halong, etc.): used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.
• The trip be cut down from 2 nights to 1 night, tourists will be charged a 2 days/1 night trip, plus other used services, the rest will be refunded.
• The final cost will be confirmed by your consultant via email. In all cases, please contact us directly for any urgent help. We are here to support you with all of our best!

Morning 

08:00 – 08:30: A limousine will pick up customers who use the transfer services (not included in the cruise’s price) at the hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter and head to Halong Bay.

12:00: Arrival at Halong International Harbour. Let’s complete the luggage check-in procedure at the waiting lounge before boarding for the cruise by tender.

Enjoy a welcome drink while the captain introduces cruise safety instructions and schedules, then go to your comfy cabin.

Have lunch in the restaurant as the cruise departs towards Halong Bay – a natural wonder of the world. Absorb yourself in the gorgeous scenery and witness the famous limestone islands of the bay.

Afternoon 

We will stop at Bo Nau Cave, the core area of the world’s natural heritage. Transferring by tender to Sung Sot Cave (Surprising cave) – the biggest cave in Halong Bay. The cavern will amaze visitors with its giant inner space, which probably explains the surprising name.

Next, visit Titop Island, which was named after Gherman Stepanovich Titov – the Soviet astronaut who visited in 1962. Enjoy swimming, relaxing on the beach, or conquering the top of the island. A magical panoramic view of Halong Bay will surprise you.

Return the board for a relaxing time with Happy Hour: Buy one, get one drink for free. This is a perfect moment to see the dazzling sunset of the bay.

Later, a cooking class will be organized by our head chef at which you can learn the recipe for traditional Vietnamese cuisine.

Evening 

After an active day, visit the restaurant on board to have dinner with a fusion set menu.

Relax at night on the cruise with film watching, board games, squid fishing, or book massage service.

Morning 

Start a new day with a refreshing Tai Chi session on the sundeck for about 30 minutes. Afterward, enjoy a light breakfast with tea and coffee in the restaurant.

Time to discover Luon Cave, one of the caves that opens to the various beautiful endemic plants of Halong Bay. You can choose kayaking for free or get on a bamboo boat rowed by a local boatman to explore this pretty area.

Back to the board, pack your luggage, and process the check-out procedure at 9:00. You can leave the bags outside the door. Athena team will collect and get them ready on the pier.

Having a nice brunch at the restaurant while the Athena boat cruises back to the pier.

10:45: Say goodbye to the staff, transfer by tender back to Halong International Habour, and disembark.

Afternoon 

Your driver will reach and pick you up around noon. Get in the car and return to Hanoi. Arrive at your hotel at approximately 15:00. End your journey.

08:00 – 08:30: For guests that book the transfer service (book in the next step with an additional fee), get ready and show up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter to be picked up, then travel to Halong Bay via highway.

12:00: Arrive at the waiting lounge in Halong International Harbour. Complete the luggage check-in procedure, then get to Athena Royal Cruise by tender.

Guests will have a welcome drink while listening to the captain introducing the cruise briefing and safety instructions.

Enjoy a tasty lunch as the cruise sails towards the Wonder of the World – Halong Bay. Let’s witness the gorgeous scenery of limestone islands standing in the emerald water.

Afternoon

First, we will stop at the marvelous Sung Sot Cave (Surprising Cave). This cave is known as the biggest and the most stunning in Halong Bay. The stalactites and stalagmites here have various shapes, such as swords, horses, dinosaurs, banyan trees, sea bears, and more.

Next, guests will travel to Titop Island, a perfect spot for beach activities. Here, you can go swimming, relax on the beach, or conquer the island’s top for a magical panoramic bay view.

Return the board to participate in the Happy Hour, where you can get one drink for free if you buy one and admire the pretty sunset of Halong Bay.

Then you can join a cooking class by our head chef to learn the recipe for a traditional Vietnamese food named Spring rolls.

Evening 

Refill your energy with a set menu dinner. Enjoy fusion dishes on the peaceful night of the bay. Relax in your cabin, enjoy a massage service (book in advance), or be active and play board games or squid fishing.

Morning 

Start a new day actively with a 30-minute Tai Chi session under the gorgeous sunrise, then have a light breakfast in the restaurant.

You will transfer to a day boat to explore the bay further. We arrive at Tung Sau Area, the famous attraction for pearl farming. Guests can kayak for free to discover the peaceful village of local fishing life and see the pearl farming area here.

Around noon, return to the day boat and enjoy traditional Vietnamese cuisine for lunch.

Afternoon 

The next stop is Me Cung Cave (Maze Cave), a unique place with an outstanding structure with stalagmites and stalactites like the chandeliers and curtains of a magnificent palace, creating a maze-like path.

Later, get back on Athena Cruise for a relaxing time and recharge your energy with our outdoor jacuzzi, or you can make a reservation for a spa treatment.

Join Happy Hour afterward for some cool beverages, and enjoy the alluring bay in the sunset. Then, take part in a Vietnamese cooking class to make Spring rolls – an easy but tasty dish.

Evening 

Have dinner with a set menu meal on board, then enjoy your free time. Participate in night activities to relax with mini board games, film watching on the sundeck, or try your luck with squid fishing.

Back to the board to pack your belongings and process the check-out procedure at about 9:00. Guests can put their luggage outside the cabin door. Our team will collect and get them ready on the pier.

While cruising back to the harbor, guests will be served early brunch. Let’s enjoy your last moments in Halong Bay.

Reach the pier approximately at 10:45, transfer by tender to the mainland, and disembark.

Afternoon

Wait for your driver to pick you up (book in the next step with an additional fee) and travel to your hotel in Hanoi Old Quater around 15:00. Trip ends!
